Custom Mouthguards

Sports athletes are at risk of many kinds of injuries, but one they should never get, because WE CAN PREVENT THEM, is a traumatized, broken, chipped or knocked out tooth! The American Dental Association estimates that nearly 200,000 oral injuries are prevented each year by the use of mouthguards.

Unfortunately, the American Association of Orthodontists found that 84% of our children do not wear mouthguards while playing organized sports.

At Feller Orthodontics, we are here to help! We provide to every one of our patients with braces or Invisalign, a complimentary mouthguard. In addition, we have custom, fun and colorful mouthguards for sports that range from low to high contact events.

Who Needs A Mouthguard?

Anyone in a contact sport, adult and youth, should have one. That means soccer, hockey, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, wrestling, volleyball, boxing and football. Swimming…well, not so much!
That being said, some low-contact sports enthusiasts like skateboarders or bikers, may benefit from a mouthguard.

Choosing A Mouthguard

Any mouthguard is better than nothing, but still there are some custom mouthguards that help with talking, breathing and adapting while playing certain sports. Mouthguards can be bought at a store, at most dental offices, and definitely at FELLER ORTOHDONTICS.

We want all of our patients to know that we will provide at no cost, a mouthguard for them, while in braces. Then, when complete with braces, a custom mouthguard can be purcahsed for a discounted price.

We want everyone in our community to know that you can come to FELLER ORTHODONTICS to be fitted for a custom mouthguard as well (not required to be a patient of ours).

Super important!

PATIENTS WITH BRACES, do NOT use a boil and bite mouthguard! These might rip off your brackets! OUCH!
