Your First Visit
Beginning Your Orthodontic Journey
At Feller Orthodontics, we understand that choosing an orthodontist is an important decision. We are always excited about meeting new patients during the first office visit. Patients over the age of 18 will be asked to complete a new Patient Packet. If under age 18, the accompanying parent or legal guardian will complete this packet of information.
Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. And, during the initial examination, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of your orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well. After all, we don’t bite…we fix bites.
- Is there an existing condition that orthodontics can correct?
- Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?

Learn About Aligners
Straight teeth without braces.
At Feller Orthodontics, achieving a straighter smile doesn’t mean compromising on comfort or lifestyle. Our clear aligner therapy offers a virtually invisible alternative to traditional braces, great for kids and adults. Utilizing a series of custom-made, virtually invisible trays, we gradually shift your teeth into alignment without the need for metal brackets or wires. The removable nature of aligners allows you to enjoy your favorite foods and maintain your regular oral hygiene routine with ease.
Benefits of Clear Aligner Therapy at Feller Orthodontics:

Airway Orthodontics
Orthodontics to improve sleep and breathing.
Treat The Cause.
Not the Symptom.
At Feller Orthodontics, we go beyond straightening teeth—we focus on improving overall health, including our work with airway orthodontics. This specialized approach addresses the root causes of breathing-related issues, such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), by enhancing the airway’s structure and function. By correcting jaw alignment and promoting proper oral development, we help patients of all ages achieve better sleep, increased energy, and improved quality of life.
Our comprehensive treatment options include:
- Maxillary Expansion: Techniques such as rapid palatal expansion (RPE) and maxillary-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) widen the upper jaw to improve airflow.
-
Orthognathic Surgery: In severe cases, surgical procedures like maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) reposition the jaws to enlarge the airway space.
-
Functional Orthodontics: Myofunctional therapy and functional appliances strengthen oral muscles and correct jaw positions to enhance breathing.
Early intervention is crucial, especially for children showing signs of sleep disturbances. Our team utilizes tools like the BEARS questionnaire to identify potential issues early on. By addressing airway concerns promptly, we can prevent long-term health complications and support optimal development.
